Multichain (previously Anyswap) is a Singapore-based Web 3 startup that has raised $60 million in funding from Binance Labs and other VCs at a $1.2 billion valuation.
The Multichain protocol enables interoperability across multiple chains and allows different blockchains to transfer data and assets freely between those chains using fastMPC-Nodes. Multichain is an open-source cross-chain router protocol, that lets networks connect and currently supports 90 different chains.
Multichain developed anyCall, a generic cross-chain messaging protocol that allows for sending cross-blockchain messages and calling smart contract functions between chains.
Furthermore, there exists a subsidiary DAO to the Multichain organization called “MultiDAO”, which can be thought of as an extended arm of Multichain.
